Climbing Merit Badge

On Saturday, November 21 the Boy Scouts will be going to Climb Iowa in Grimes to learn about climbing, have fun climbing and possibly earn the Climbing Merit Badge.

Previously planned as an overnight event, that will not be the case. We will go and return the same day.

Please click here for the permission slip and more information about times and costs.

Any questions? Call Scoutmaster Rick or Asst. Scoutmaster Penny.

Popcorn Sale - Nov 21st

Troop & Pack 167 will be selling popcorn this year, but we will do it differently than previous years.

On Saturday, November 21st, we will have tables set up at the First State Bank in Stuart from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon to sell directly to the customer.

No taking orders this year. Popcorn will be paid for and picked up right there at the bank.

Just one day only (for now). We have made a small order and hope to go through it that day. If there is leftover popcorn, we can continue to sell it at our events or if there is enough to try again another Saturday.

Note that the popcorn is from a different distributer this year and there are new choices.

If you can help us, then please contact Scoutmaster Rick Erickson or Asst. Scoutmaster Penny Chesterman to set up a time or just come to the bank that Saturday.

Mitigwa - Summer Camp '09

Camp Mitigwa - July 5-11, 2009

As discussed at the Troop Meeting on Monday 6/15:

If you have not completed your medical/physical forms that must be done now. Turn them in to Rick as soon as possible.

We will be meeting at the Rec Center at 10:00 am on Sunday, July 5 to pack the trailer. We will leave promptly at 11:00 for camp. Wear your Class-A uniform with your swim trunks underneath (we will do swim checks at camp this year).

If you have any medicines (including allergy medicines and even Tylenol or whatever) they need to be in the original container with dose information printed on them. Penny will be in charge of medicines and you will need to give these to her.

Family night is Thursday, July 16. Families are welcome to come to camp at 5:00 pm that evening and share a Subway party sub with us. OA call-out is that evening also.

We will be back in Stuart on Saturday morning probably around 9-10 am. We will have a better idea on return time later.

If you have any questions, please call Rick.

Good Egg Days!

Here is our event schedule for Good Egg Days in Stuart. Saturday, June 20th.

8:00 am - Meet at the Rec Center. We need to prepare our parade float and set up our tents and rain gutters in the park. All that can help will be greatly appreciated.

11:00 am - Parade starts from the Care Center. WEAR YOUR CLASS-A UNIFORM if you will be marching in the parade.

All Day - Rain Gutter Regatta in the park. Find us in the park and help us earn some money and give away fabulous prizes. Visitors to our tent can build a sail boat to race for only $1 donation to our Pack/Troop. Please call Rick, John, Mary or Dan and let us know when you can come and help. Scouts should come in either Class-A or Class-B shirts to help.

1:00 pm - Silent Cake Auction begins. Bring your homemade cake creations to our tent at 1:00. We will display them there and hold a silent auction. The auction will end at 3:00 pm and any money your cake earns will go to your personal scout bucks to be used for scout campouts, scout registration, & scouting supplies.

Your help and support at each of these events this weekend are needed and greatly appreciated! See you Saturday!
